My NEW Raspberry Pi Music Streamer
Is this relevant today? Does the newer DSP card fit?
Pass Labs charge 10 times more for the same result...
CDs nuts
Streaming is so fuckin stupid...nothing like the physical form
Ive been buying albums I love on CD and got a couple players, Physicals media is just so much better than the digital audio and subscription based services. I would rather actually buy and own my music rather than "rent it" from a provider.
Doesn't test software, bitches about parts, doesn't get PiOS because he wants to "try Linux" stupid video.
I got a ton of mini disc's a few years ago....just to keep all my music on. Mini disc players were under-appreciated and you could run a portable MD player on 1x AA battery for weeks!

Can you make me a cd for a small donation?
Thanks man. Good one.
I have always found if you solder the wires instead of sodering them the results are better.
CD’s were so expensive in Australia during the 90’s that Hit Machine and 100% Hits offered more bang for the buck.
Had a pair of restored Kappa 9. Drove them with a Krell KSA-300 amp. Those speakers are overrated. Sold them.
I still use a portable cd player and go outside with it
The music is too loud and not helpful to your message. Tone it down!
I have a few dozen vinyl records. But I've been collecting cassette tapes. I've got a pretty killer collection now.
No.. vinyl...
I have a flip phone and no Bluetooth in my car so cds it is!
will come a time where ay of media will belong to us, all will be online, in clouds etc, so the importance to keep buyon media format or d0wnload media, to preserve and keep that media, cd, movie to us .. xbox stimates that from here from 10 years no media format video games will be available .. its a warning
My Bose earbuds stopped holding a charge, Bose offered to take, I think it was, 20 bucks off of new ones, provided I send the old ones back. Now i use apple AirPods. Better quality, noise cancelling and waaayyyyy more comfortable. You have just replaced your defective product bose.
Does this mean I need a DAC (such as this or comparable) in order for my anemic sounding system to come alive? Presently using a Dayton Audio HTA 100 (or a LEAK Stereo 130) with JBL L52 speakers and an old Onkyo C7030 cd player. For an average size living room.
CDs and hi-res flac, when available 😊
Beats paying for reruns.
Totally agree Michael. I have a small collection of vinyl and if very clean they do sound very good. However my CD’s do sound better. Excellent video.
Same song different covers so why people buy same song over and over again
16:44 or 24:192 cds of the same album both original master and remaster. i also used youtube straight from the artist topic channel and i hear the same acrosss original master and remaster from all 3 version and yeah hi res is complete snake oil
All media is burdened by imperfections. Vinyl is the worst. But everybody accepts it. So with jitter. Live with it. It's not perceptible anyway.
I got rid of all my cds and moved to vinyl, and I don't regret it one bit.
Cdeeze
fist time on your channel and I love the passion you speak with in regards to collecting. I feel a similar way with video game consoles even tho my collection is very modest
they just drop the can v3 u really gotta try it
Why don't people actually release these kind of designs? Way fits way better in a nerd cave than simple figures and collectibles.
This is why I stream or play vinyl. Best of both worlds.
Best place to buy CDs is…….. Discogs.
In the era of online streaming media, the offline physical player is kinda new luxury. I own the thing that I pay for, not just a limited time subscription status.
I opened Apple Music to listen to an album, and discovered it was taken off the service a few days ago. I’m going back to physical media now.
Also the problem with digital copies of music/movies and games, it can be modified by the copyright holder for "modern audiences" "You'll own NOTHING and BE happy" which is what they're pushing! Live services are an issue too especially with games, once service is gone your game is rendered useless. There needs to be laws in place to allow a product to be open sourced in order to keep the game alive. The Crew 1 is an example. Preservation needs to be kept.
Some of my all time favourite albums are only available on CD. They were never released on vinyl at the height of CD popularity, and there's no legal way to own them digitally. Also, at that time they put much more detail into the booklets within the case.
excellent work Michael
If you have vinyl albums and a good turn table, You are sitting in the "cat birds seat." Young people today don't appreciate anything Unless it's, fast, easy, free and digital.
There's nothing like playing your own CD collection. All the songs sound the same and WAV format Gives music a rich sound quality that mp3 Can't match.
C.Ds just hit different. I still have c.ds and I still buy more. Have an to collection, but I wish for more. I'm glad to say that records are kinds comming back for a min.
For me, it’s easy: Lossless, and you own it permanently. It can’t get taken off your library. I’m a vinyl guy, but for the same reason
They have returned, and sales go up every year.....
SUbscribing simply because I used to go that Record Time store in the good ol 248 lol
The first 4 grand in a rig will get you 95%percent. Then you can spend another 300,000 and never get that 5%. Just learn an instrument. Playing an instrument is a hobby. Being an Audiophile is nit a hobby.
I agree audiophile make me squim as a musician I think they are diluted
Not just music CD's, even video games should be bought in physical format. Big companies like Steam and Sony's PSN can remove/delete or even lock you out of content you paid for digitally. A hard copy of whatever it is you buy is sitting there and will never change.
We made the 2cd set of “Water Us Universe” by PREXENTS ; it’s so nostalgic.
At 2:40... Streaming songs produce consume fuel _(AKA greenhouse gases)_ constantly and continuously 24/7 .. 365 day a year.... the hard drive that is constantly on.. waiting for somebody to stream the song.. and the computer that have that hard drive also .. more greenhouse gases.... constantly and continuously 24/7...... then when somebody stream that song... and endless line of computers.. routers.. switches.. and other devices...... start to produce a bit more of the normal amount of greenhouse gases they are constantly and continuously producing.... just for streaming that song........ all the way.. all of them.... from the machine that have the song.. to the device of the guy.. girl or person that is listening it................ CD's produce a bit of greenhouse gases once..... when it's made..... then eventually when somebody use it........
